Sony Files Patent for PlayStation Controller That Can Accept Contactless Payments to Buy Games

Sony has filed a patent for a PlayStation controller that comes with the capability to read payment method information from credit cards or phones. The controller would communicate with cards or phones via NFC or Bluetooth. According to the patent, the controller will be able to read payment information and transmit it to the paired console to purchase games.
