Startups affected by the recent pandemic can use this no-cost eligibility assessment to determine if they qualify for rebates, how much they may be able to claim, and how to contact an ERTC specialist to help complete the paperwork for the maximum allowable refund.

Startup businesses first founded in 2020 and 2021 may still be able to qualify for Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC) rebates, using this updated eligibility assessment from ERTC Guy. The assessment can help businesses qualify and claim rebates as regular pandemic relief for small businesses or as a Recovery Startup Business.

While it was originally launched in 2020, the ERTC program has gone through numerous changes since then that have enlarged the available rebates and expanded the eligibility to include more businesses. This updated assessment from ERTC Guy can help any employer to determine if they qualify, including startups, non-profit organizations, and any business with 500 or fewer W-2 employees.
The program allows startup businesses to apply for rebates using two different methods, depending on when the business was first founded. The full report explains that any business founded before February 15, 2020, can apply as a regular small business, while companies founded after that date may qualify as a Recovery Startup Business.
To qualify as a Recovery Startup Business, a company must have had W-2 employees on the payroll in the 3rd or 4th fiscal quarter of 2021, and annual gross receipts of less than $1 million. These businesses may be eligible for as much as $100,000 in ERTC rebates, which never need to be repaid, and have no restrictions on how they can be spent.
The ERTC eligibility assessment can determine if any employer is eligible for ERTC rebates, and how much they may be able to claim, using only the answers to 10 simple questions. Employers will not be asked for any proprietary business information, and will not be charged in any way for this information.
Eligible business owners can use the detailed instructions on the ERTC Guy website to fill in ERTC claim paperwork themselves, or to get in contact with an ERTC application specialist. While individual rebates will vary, this application service has helped some small business owners to claim over $700,000, which never needs repayment.
A specialist from ERTC Guy explained, “By claiming the tax credit, startups can reduce their tax liability and reinvest the savings back into their business. The credit can also help startups attract and retain talented employees, which is essential for growth and innovation.”
