Perth Cosmetic Dental Clinic Now Open for All General and Smile Makeover Services

Perth Cosmetic Dental Clinic Reopens For Business Following Lifting Of Restrictions

Mosman Park, Australia - May 28, 2020 /MarketersMedia/ —

Smile Design Studio, an established and popular local dental practice located near Perth, Western Australia, is delighted to announce that regular service has now been resumed. Patients are free to book appointments for whatever dental treatment they require, including general and cosmetic dentistry. Due to recent health restrictions across all medical providers, Smile Design Studio was permitted to only see patients for emergency dental procedures.

The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee has now eased the restrictions back to level 1 across the country including Western Australia. As such, dental practices are now allowed to provide all general and cosmetic dental services.

Every member of the team at Smile Design Studio is thrilled to be back at work and determined to look after and assist as many patients as possible with their dental issues. Due to the delays and in many cases cancelation of previous treatments, patients are advised to book an appointment as quickly as possible, as there is expected to be high demand for the services of Dr Vicky and her team.

The Australian Dental Association (ADA) recognises that dental practices already operate with a high degree of health protection. However, patients will notice some changes when they next visit the practice. All of the staff will be following the government's guidelines, which will include the wearing of full PPE equipment, social distancing measures, and regular use of hand sanitizer and hand washing. To maximise the safety of both staff and patients, Smile Design Studio will also be implementing a particular appointment schedule designed to protect vulnerable patients. Anyone with a weak immune response system will receive appointments first thing in the morning. This includes patients over the age of 70 or those with cardiovascular or respiratory disease.

"Every member of staff at the Smile Design Studio loves their job and looks forward to helping our patients achieve that beautiful smile they have always dreamed of," said Dr Vicky Ho owner and founder of Smile Design Studio. "We are all excited to get back to work, and cannot wait to see our wonderful patients again. We know that many of our patients were frustrated or even disappointed to have the previous appointments and treatments canceled, but now that we have been permitted to reopen, it is full steam ahead.”

When asked about cosmetic dental procedures like Invisalign or teeth whitening, Dr Vicky confirmed “We are now able to see patients for all cosmetic dentistry treatments. If someone has been putting off getting Invisalign to straighten their teeth or having a whiter smile, then no worries, because we can now perform these types of services and get you that beautiful smile you deserve.”

Patients are invited to book an appointment as usual either by phoning the office or via the company website at

Chinese report says illnesses may be from new coronavirus

Jul 11, 2020

BEIJING — A preliminary investigation into viral pneumonia illnesses sickening dozens of people in and around China has identified the possible cause as a new type of coronavirus, state media said Thursday. Chinese health authorities did not immediately confirm the report from state broadcaster CCTV. Coronaviruses are spread through coughing or sneezing or by touching an infected person. Some cause the common cold and others can lead to more severe respiratory diseases, such as SARS and MERS. Such viruses are common in people but more exotic versions from bats, camels and other animals have caused severe illness. The novel coronavirus...

Counting whales from space pitched as key to saving them

Jul 11, 2020

PORTLAND, Maine — An aquarium and an engineering firm in Massachusetts are partnering on a project to better protect whales by monitoring them from space. New England Aquarium of Boston and Draper of Cambridge say whale conservation needs new, higher-tech solutions to protect whales from extinction. So, the pair is working together using data from sources such as satellites, sonar and radar to keep a closer eye on how many whales are in the ocean. The effort has an easy to understand name for a project involving complex data and surveillance — the aquarium and firm are calling the project...

3-2-1-Cookoff! Astronauts to bake cookies with new test oven

Jul 11, 2020

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Forget reheated, freeze-dried space grub. Astronauts are about to get a new test oven for baking chocolate chip cookies from scratch. The next delivery to the International Space Station — scheduled for liftoff this weekend — includes the Zero G Oven. Chocolate chip cookie dough is already up there, waiting to pop into this small electric oven designed for zero gravity. Sample cookies baked just this week are also launching from Virginia on Northrop Grumman's Cygnus capsule, for the six station astronauts. The experiment explores the possibility of making freshly baked items for space travelers. With...

Threat to US elections not limited to Russia in 2020

Jul 11, 2020

WASHINGTON — Russia interfered in the 2016 election and may try to sway next year's vote as well. But it's not the only nation with an eye on U.S. politics. American officials sounding the alarm about foreign efforts to disrupt the 2020 election include multiple countries in that warning. Concerns abound not only about possible hacking of campaigns, but also about the spread of disinformation on social media and potential efforts to breach voting databases and even alter votes. The anxiety goes beyond the possibility that U.S. adversaries could directly affect election results: The mere hint of foreign meddling could...

China says US has 'weaponized' visas to target exchanges

Jul 11, 2020

BEIJING — China on Wednesday accused the U.S. of having "weaponized" the issuance of visas following the reported inability of a top Chinese space program official to obtain permission to travel to a key conference in Washington. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters that the head of the Chinese delegation to the International Astronautical Congress wasn't able to obtain a visa following an Oct. 12 interview, making it difficult for Chinese representatives to attend important events at the meeting. Reports said the vice chairman of the China National Space Administration, Wu Yanhua, had planned to attend the congress. Hua...
